Down to Earth Approach included vocalist/guitarist Jonathan Lullo, guitarist Ryan McClurg, bassist John McCampbell, and drummer Peter Metzler. After a few false starts in their native New York, the striation really started to roll around 2000, when they touched to California and their sound solidified around a robust emo/indie rock'n'roll manner influenced by bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and the Get Up Kids. Vagrant Records took interest in the grouping, and issued Some other Intervention, their debut LP, in early 2004.
